Another year older

Well today I celebrated my Birthday. Did my birthday dinner last weekend so I had all week to work it off. Anxious for the weigh in on Saturday. Been doing Aquacise 2 days a week at the Y and trying to walk when I can on the other days.  Leaving on vacation next week, going to Florida to see our Niece graduate high school so I hope I remember to blog.

Everything is going good. Keeping busy and almost forgetting to blog. Need to figure out a different workout schedule.  Will try and add some weight training.

signed up

I was unable to work out this week with the sore back. But I did get to the Y and sign up for the 2 day a week aquacise class, so I will start going next week. Sign up for the next session begins on line May 25th and there were some interesting classes that I will look into taking.

Out of commission

Well I may have over did it a little Friday at the Y. I did some rowing and the weight machine circuit. On Saturday we were working in the yard mulching. My back flared up on Sunday with pain and worsened over night to have hubby take me for an ER visit early Monday morning. I have never had back spasms so bad. So I have been out of commission since Sunday. I feel better today and actually worked a little on mulching a small flower garden, so hopefully I did not trigger my back to explode with pain again. I stretched some, so I am hoping that will help. I need to get back to excising, at least I have maintained the diet.

YMCA

So the contestants that get to continue on in the contest got 3 months free at the "Y".  Thank you Lighten up and Ron at the Health District. I went on the first day possible, May 1st and registered at the Madison Y.  Everyone was nice and I got a tour of the facility.  I set up a meeting for today with a trainer to go over all the equipment in the gym.  After Laura (trainer) showed me everything there (1 hour later), I was on my own.  I was much more comfortable today than on Wednesday. Wednesday I felt so overwhelmed. I plan on signing up for an Aqua class next week. We started right in the middle of a calendar schedule of classes, so I will have to see which ones have room available.
